Key Advantages
-
High-Speed Production: The production line can achieve continuous forming speeds of up to 30–50 m/min, supported by a servo-tracking flying shear system for uninterrupted cutting.
-
Durable Roll Tooling: Forming rollers are manufactured from Cr12MoV high-strength alloy steel and undergo vacuum heat treatment to improve wear resistance and extend tooling service life.
-
Integrated Automated Processing: The complete line integrates hydraulic coil uncoiling, strip leveling, CNC servo punching, multi-stage cold roll forming, and automatic cutting into one continuous production process.
-
Accurate U-Profile Forming: The system is designed for precise dimensional control and straightness, supporting the production of high-strength U-channels for solar mounting structures.
Main Equipment Configuration
1. Hydraulic Uncoiler with Loading Car
Available with 3T or 5T capacity, the hydraulic uncoiler provides stable and controlled feeding of steel coils into the production line.
2. Multi-Roll Leveling Machine
The leveling section corrects coil curvature and helps release internal material stress before the strip enters the punching and roll forming processes.
3. CNC Servo Punching System
The high-speed punching unit enables accurate production of slots and bolt holes according to the required U-channel configuration.
4. Main Cold Roll Forming Machine
The forming section consists of approximately 18–22 forming stations. The progressive forming process gradually shapes the steel strip into the required U-profile while maintaining dimensional consistency.
5. Servo Tracking Flying Shear
The flying shear system tracks the moving profile during cutting, allowing continuous production without requiring the line to stop for each cut and helping reduce material waste.
6. Automatic Run-Out Stacker
Finished U-channels are automatically transferred and stacked, reducing manual handling while helping prevent surface damage during collection.
Typical Applications
The U-Type PV Support Roll Forming Machine is designed for manufacturing structural profiles used in different solar mounting systems.
-
Ground-Mounted Solar Projects: Produces U-channel columns, purlins, and structural members for large-scale PV installations.
-
Rooftop Solar Systems: Suitable for producing lightweight U-shaped rails and support profiles for flat or sloped roofs.
-

Frequently Asked Questions
Can one machine produce U-channels in different dimensions?
Yes. Depending on the production requirements, the line can be configured with quick-change tooling or adjustable roller stands to accommodate different web widths and profile heights.
How long does machine production take?
The standard manufacturing lead time is approximately 45–60 days. Before shipment, each machine undergoes full-load testing using actual steel coils to verify forming performance and operating accuracy.
Is overseas installation and operator training available?
Yes. The technical team can provide overseas installation, commissioning, and operator training. Technical support is also available for subsequent machine operation and maintenance.
