Thermal Silicon

TS-20 is a dealcoholized single-component room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber product.

TS-20 is a dealcoholized, single-component room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) silicone rubber designed for high-performance thermal management and electrical insulation applications. It cures into a durable elastomer when exposed to moisture in the air at room temperature, forming a reliable, long-lasting bonding and heat-conductive layer.

Unlike traditional mechanical fastening methods used in thermal interface applications, TS-20 provides a simplified and more efficient heat transfer solution between heating elements and radiators. It eliminates air gaps, enhances thermal conductivity, and improves overall system reliability in electronic and industrial assemblies.

Excellent Thermal Conductivity and Electrical Insulation

One of the key advantages of TS-20 thermal silicone is its high thermal conductivity of ≥2.0 W/m·K, which ensures efficient heat dissipation in high-power electronic devices. At the same time, it maintains outstanding electrical insulation performance, making it ideal for applications where heat transfer and dielectric safety must coexist.

Key electrical properties include:

  • Volume resistivity: ≥3 × 10¹⁵ Ω·cm

  • Insulation strength: ≥20 KV/mm

  • Dielectric constant: ≤4.0 (60 Hz)

  • Dielectric loss factor: ≤0.04 (60 Hz)

These characteristics ensure stable performance even under high voltage and varying frequency conditions.

Stable Mechanical Performance After Curing

After curing for 7 days under standard conditions (23±2℃, 50%±5% RH), TS-20 forms a stable off-white elastomer with excellent mechanical properties:

  • Hardness: Shore A 65±5

  • Tensile strength: ≥2.0 MPa

  • Bonding strength: ≥2.0 MPa

  • Elongation: 150%–200%

  • Specific gravity: 2.8±0.05 g/cm³

These properties ensure strong adhesion, flexibility, and long-term mechanical stability, even under thermal cycling conditions.

Wide Operating Temperature Range

TS-20 is engineered for demanding environments and can operate continuously in a temperature range of:

  • -50℃ to 250℃

This makes it highly suitable for applications exposed to extreme thermal fluctuations, ensuring reliability in both low-temperature and high-temperature conditions.

Fast Surface Drying and Easy Application

Before curing, TS-20 features a surface drying time of approximately 15 minutes at 23℃ and 50% RH, allowing for efficient assembly processes and reduced production time.

Its single-component formulation eliminates the need for mixing, making it easy to apply in automated or manual production environments.

Flame Retardant and High Safety Performance

TS-20 complies with UL94 V-0 flame retardant rating, ensuring high safety performance in electronic and electrical systems. It does not corrode metals after curing, making it compatible with sensitive electronic components and heat sink materials.

Additionally, it offers:

  • Excellent arc resistance

  • Strong resistance to breakdown voltage

  • Stable performance under long-term electrical load

Key Applications

TS-20 thermal silicone is widely used in industries requiring efficient heat transfer and insulation, including:

  • Power electronics and semiconductor devices

  • LED lighting systems

  • Heat sinks and cooling modules

  • Automotive electronic systems

  • Industrial control equipment

  • Power supply modules

Conclusion

TS-20 Thermal Silicone is a high-performance RTV silicone rubber that combines excellent thermal conductivity, strong electrical insulation, and outstanding mechanical stability. Its wide temperature resistance, flame-retardant properties, and easy application make it an ideal choice for modern thermal management solutions in electronic and industrial systems.

Whether used in high-power electronics or precision industrial equipment, TS-20 delivers reliable performance where heat dissipation and electrical safety are critical.
