How DALY Builds Quality into Every BMS, from R&D to the Field

Battery Chemistry: Comprehensive support for Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP), Nickel Cobalt Manganese (NCM), Lithium Titanate (LTO), and Sodium-ion (Na+ customized).
Continuous Current Range: 20A -800A

At DALY, our quality engineering team works hand in hand with R&D, supply chain, manufacturing and after-sales. We follow the Integrated Product Development (IPD) process step by step, and keep refining our products through testing and post-project review.

01Front-Loaded R&D Quality
Catch risks at the design stage

Design Quality Engineers (DQEs) in the R&D Quality Department act as the quality gatekeepers of the development phase, following each project through its full lifecycle:

01 Set the test standards
At project kick-off, DQEs and the R&D team jointly define test items and execution standards. Every new product is validated with no fewer than 9 test samples across more than 450 test dimensions, so the data is comprehensive and reliable.
02 Intercept risks early
A standardized R&D checklist is used to screen design risks item by item. Targeted corrective actions are completed before validation begins, moving quality control forward into every stage of development.
03 Enforce strict process oversight
We audit compliance with the IPD process throughout, track issues in real time and feed them back, so that every step of development meets quality standards.
04 Track and optimize continuously
After launch, we keep tracking field performance, collecting operating data and customer feedback, and work with R&D to optimize quickly. This forms a closed quality loop of design, test, launch and iteration, so that issues are resolved as early as possible.

02Real-World Validation
Testing that mirrors actual operating conditions

The R&D Testing Department is split into a Test Design Group and a Test Execution Group, working together as the “brain” and the “hands”:

Test Design Group: the “brain” of the test system
Made up of test automation developers and test engineers, the group builds a scientific test framework so that validation is more precise and more efficient.
Test Execution Group
The group checks more than 30 hardware performance items, such as voltage, current and power consumption. It also runs more than 20 software function tests, including communication logic, SOC calibration and alarm protection, plus dedicated Bluetooth connection tests. Every performance item is verified one by one.

Standardized test cases

Following the logic of “find the problem, analyze the root cause, optimize the test case,” we turn issues met in real operating conditions into standardized test steps and keep improving the test system.

Real application scenarios

We build dedicated test scenarios around different applications such as e-mobility, home energy storage and truck start-stop, for example electric forklift heavy-load start-up, truck high-current overcurrent, and electric three-wheeler hill-climb acceleration.

Reproducing customer feedback

When customers report an issue, we reproduce the exact operating conditions, capture data through experiments, determine the root cause and issue a test report, giving a scientific basis for the solution.

Developing automation tools

Using advanced equipment such as that from Ruineng, we write automated test programs that automatically test all key BMS reliability indicators, greatly improving test accuracy and efficiency.

We also test real-world conditions such as heavy-load start-up, high-current overcurrent, peak/off-peak power switching and engine load-dump surges, combined with environmental tests such as high and low temperature, vibration and electrostatic discharge, to match the wide range of conditions customers face.

Professional Test Equipment That Backs Up Validation

Quality validation relies on both hardware equipment and a management system. DALY operates 11 types of test equipment, including Nebula automated test cabinets, Agilent and Fluke measuring instruments, temperature and humidity chambers, and high-current loads, covering both conventional and extreme validation needs.

All DALY products are certified to ISO 9000, CE, RoHS and EMC, meeting common industry standards and global market access requirements.

03Manufacturing Control
Bringing design standards to the production floor

Every solution that R&D delivers must ultimately be realized on the production line.

DALY converts design requirements into executable documents such as SOP work instructions, PFMEA risk analyses and IPC process specifications, and applies process control to critical operations.

We also manage suppliers and perform incoming material sampling inspection, and run a risk assessment for every material change. From raw materials to finished products, this keeps mass-produced units consistent.

04Field Feedback
Driving quality iteration

Delivering a product to the customer does not mean the quality work is finished.

DALY collects device operating data through its cloud platform and receives feedback from frontline after-sales teams, then performs a root-cause review of every abnormal case in the field. The conclusions are shared with the R&D, quality and testing teams, who use them to improve designs and strengthen test cases. This closes the loop from the customer’s site back to R&D.

↺ Field issues go back to R&D to improve designs and strengthen test cases

From risk prevention in R&D, to repeated validation in real-world scenarios, to strict control in manufacturing, to continuous tracking at the customer’s site, DALY builds quality into the entire BMS lifecycle. Every stage has standards, verification, feedback and improvement. DALY’s full-chain quality team safeguards every link of the BMS.
